Cyclonic DustBuster CHV1400 VacuumStrengths: Strong motor powers the vac through even the toughest jobs and the no-mess dust cup easily empties without soiling your hands Weakness: A little heavy. I bought this item online through Amazon.com. At first I thought it was too expensive for a Dustbuster. However, this model definitely has much more suction power than any Dustbuster I've owned. It approaches the power of a corded vacuum. I has 2 speeds, and the high speed has no trouble picking up small stuff. It is also easy to clean. Review of Cyclonic Dustbuster CHV1400Strengths: Good suction for a cordless handheld, Easy removal/disposal of dirt, Nice design, easy to handle Weakness: Lacking powerbrush feature, Battery life This is my fourth dustbuster since the early days going back to the 1990's and I have to say its the most powerful one thus far. Although without the "powerbrush" feature I have a hard time picking up hair on carpet, but for small non-hairy mess it does a good job. Battery life can be longer as I found it too short to vacuum my minivan, about 10-15 min. max. Cyclonic DustBuster CHV1400Strengths: Powerful, easy to clean, bagless, wall mountable Weakness: Low battery life This is a great vacuum for daily household use - I use it almost every day to clean up something. It is powerful enough to pick up any small debris. The one problem is the low battery life - I get maybe 10-15 minutes of battery life on one charge. Great little vacuumStrengths: Very powerful! Weakness: None so far I just got this for a little over a week. So far I love it. It is really powerful and sucks up all the dirt and trash that I wanted it to pick up. The clear plastic casing also allows you to see the dirt accumulating so you know when you need to empty it out. I especially like the fact that the filter can be washed and cleaned, a vast improvement over my 6 year old small dustbuster. The attachments can be stored right on the vacuum too which is a great feature. It's a little larger and heavier than my old small dustbuster, but well worth the weight and extra money to get this powerful machine. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Top of the line Hand Vac!Strengths: Powerful, easy to use, convenient Weakness: Loud I have one of these and liked it so much I bought one for my sister. She loves it! She uses it constantly and said it beats her vacuum hands down for quick cleanups all around the house. She's been raving about it since she got it. I have been equally happy with mine. This one is really powerful, almost as strong as the corded dust devil which I've been using for a long time. Since it's cordless, it's a lot more convenient. Great handheld vacuum for the priceStrengths: powerful, extremely easy to clean, cordless Weakness: none that I've noticed yet This was a replacement for a less powerful handheld vacuum and there is no comparison. It is powerful enough to pick up any small debris. The one problem is the low battery life. I got maybe 15 minutes of battery life on one charge. Strengths: Good suction, filter renewal mode, well balanced
Weakness: Short battery life, no powered brush accessory
Got this for my wife for mother's day (she actually asked for it!). We compared this model versus a similarly priced Shark model with a powered rotary brush. Although I felt that the Shark's brush did a better job of lifting pet hair off the couches, my wife liked the lighter weight and better balance of this model. The B&D also has a rotary dial to rotate the filter without taking the cowl off the vacuum. This helps distribute the dirt/dust around the filter and decreases the need to clean the filter.
The battery life is a bit short, but it gets the job done. The manual says not to leave the vacuum on the charger, so that complicates keeping the battery at a usable level. Although the B&D didn't include the rotary brush, it still did an acceptable job on pet hair.
